Cleaner fuel in our fleet.
Cleaner air for our community.

Caring for the environment in the communities where we live and work is a priority for Rempel Bros. Concrete.

That's why we're one of the first private companies in British Columbia to introduce biodiesel to our fleet.

Biodiesel is a cleaner-burning diesel fuel made from natural, renewable resources such as vegetable oils.  Using biodiesel reduces toxic exhaust emissions, including odour, greenhouse gases and particulate matter.  Twelve of Rempel's concrete mixers are now powered by the greener fuel.

Rempel Bros. Concrete strives to be a leader in environmental excellence.

The Rempel Green Team leads the way in environmental protection procedures

Inert once hardened, concrete itself does not cause environmental harm. However, the water used to cure concrete, or to clean equipment used to deliver and place concrete can raise the pH level of surrounding waters and thereby harm living organisms.

Rempel is totally committed to fulfilling our responsibility to protect the environment. Award-winning and proactive, Rempel is proud of their accomplishments in environmental preservation.

For many years, Rempel has been working hard to be the leader in our industry not only for quality product and customer service, but also for environmental responsibility.  The environment is important to us, and we feel we have done everything in our power to date to insure that we do business with the least possible impact on the natural world.

Our environmental stewardship program has affected every aspect of our operations from our trucks, to our plants, to our personnel.  The following list covers the "big changes" to our company's environmental attitude.
