Three Brothers Cement Their Future
In September of 1967, Ewald, Ed and Clarence Rempel,
opened their first ready-mix concrete plant
in Abbotsford. They had a strong
vision
to successfully meet the needs of the
Abbotsford building community. In their first year, the youthful
enterprise surpassed its sales goal of 9,000 cubic metres. They
achieved this goal with only a basic batch plant, two mixer trucks
and a borrowed loader.
By meeting the needs of not only the builders
but also placing contractors and framers, the company established
a solid base
of loyal customers
in the growing Abbotsford area and began expanding.
